Spring Bay Watermelon Festival

From 1952 to 1982, the Spring Bay Legion hosted the Watermelon Festival. Its final year drew over 10,000 attendees, and at one point it was the largest festival in Illinois. Check out our historical gallery of Watermelon Festival memorabilia.
